After a couple of years of patching the floor the client they decided that it was time to replace the entire surface. The old coating was applied to an old tile base from which it was now lifting from, on further investigations it was found that the bed the tiles were attached to was also failing. On consultation with the client it was agreed that the entire floor was to be removed back to the original slab.
This meant that the Falls had to be reinstalled and a new floor applied over this, so for the best result and speed a Two Pack Epoxy and Sand screed base was made. The falls started at 60mm and fell to the drains set at 30mm, almost 3.5 cubic metres of materials.
Over the Epoxy bed we applied a 6mm thick Poly Urethane Concrete Floor for longevity.
To allow for movement of equipment the whole job was in 2 sections.
The clients comment all the way through were that they were so impressed by the way the work was done and the finish was better than expected.
